InSHAPE 5k & 1 Mile Run/Walk

Join us again for our Aspire To Get InSHAPE Fun Run/Walk in support of Aspire Indiana Health's InSHAPE, our fitness and nutrition program designed for individuals experiencing serious mental illness! Come join us for this family friendly, SUPERHERO themed event on Saturday April 20th!  Grab your super suits and capes and we will see you there!  Kids aged 5 and under are free!

Fun activities for kids, refreshments for all, group stretching and warm up activities await participants in the timed 5k run/walk and those enjoying a 1 mile walk through Conner Prairie’s historic grounds. Come enjoy Virtual Reality stations for adults, coffee, bounce houses, shaved ice, bubble machines, face painting, and more!  There will be $50 prizes for best youth and adult costumes, and a $100 prize for best group costume. You don’t want to miss out!

InSHAPE is a fitness program designed for individuals dealing with a serious mental illness. The goal of this evidence-based program is to improve health, wellbeing, and longevity, prioritizing 6 essential elements; wellness focused, participant-driven, multidisciplinary, individualized, health mentors, and community involvement. The InSHAPE certified personal trainer uses education, exercise, fitness, nutrition, and community engagement to help individuals address issues such as losing weight, improving cognitive functions, decreasing depression and anxiety, improving self esteem, and decreasing social isolation.

Schedule:

* Friday April 19, 2024: Early Packet Pick up at Aspire Indiana Health, 9615 E 148th Street, Suite 1, Noblesville IN 46060 from the hours of 5-7 p.m.

*Saturday April 20, 2024

          7:00AM - 8:00AM - Registration & Packet Pick Up

          7:30AM - Warm-Up Stretches

          8:00AM - 9:00am Opening Ceremonies, Start of timed 5k run/walk

          9:15AM -  Awards and Prizes

          9:30AM - Non Timed 1 mile run/walk

* Please be off the 1 mile course no later than 10:30. You may purchase tickets to explore the grounds of Conner Prairie at the main building.

Event fee includes race admission, t-shirt, swag bag, medal, and refreshments.

*Does not include park admission outside of race course and pavilion area*

*No pets are allowed on Conner Prairie's property.  If a registered service animal is required, please check in at the front desk before going onto the grounds.

*We plan to carry out our event rain or shine, as long as weather conditions remain safe.
